This mouse rotating restraint device has been designed using CAD software and manufactured through high-precision 3D printing with biodegradable PLA+ material. It enables safe and stable immobilization of mice during non-invasive experimental procedures without the need for anesthesia.

The device is suitable for applications such as blood pressure monitoring, body temperature measurement, intravenous injections, and blood sampling. Its ergonomic and modular design ensures secure positioning of the animal while allowing easy adjustment for different body sizes.

Key Features

Rotating Mounting Base

The device includes a tabletop base with a 360° magnetic rotating mechanism that securely attaches to workbenches (up to 3.5 cm thick) using clamps. An alternative version integrates neodymium magnets for direct mounting on metal surfaces.

Magnetic Cylindrical Body

The cylindrical restraint chamber features magnetic coupling for quick attachment and detachment from the base. It also includes support feet, allowing the device to be used independently without mounting.

Adjustable Plunger with Nose Cone

An internal movable plunger ensures proper positioning of the mouse. The integrated nose cone supports the animal’s head while maintaining an airflow channel for adequate ventilation.

Adjustable Internal Volume

The plunger position can be adjusted to accommodate mice of different sizes (juvenile or adult). A rotational locking screw secures the desired position.

Locking Entry Door

A sliding front door allows easy placement of the animal. The door includes a tail exit opening and a dedicated port for rectal thermometer insertion, secured with a latch mechanism.

Designed for Non-Invasive Procedures

The restraint system is optimized for procedures requiring mild immobilization, including blood pressure measurement without sedation.

Top Plexiglass Observation Window

A transparent plexiglass viewing window allows continuous monitoring of the animal’s breathing and condition during the procedure.

Perimeter Ventilation Slots

Ventilation openings around the device ensure continuous airflow, enhancing animal comfort and safety.

Eco-Friendly PLA+ Material

Manufactured from biodegradable PLA+, providing durability, safety, and reduced environmental impact.
